The new covid regulations require us to make a few changes to our classes. Please check your email for your updated class schedule
There has also been a couple of changes to the regulations within our classes. Here is an update and a reminder about our pandemic protocols:
REMINDERS:
We will do our best to update everyone as regulations are updated. We appreciate your understanding as we work hard to keep our dojo safe and open.
See you at the dojo!
Regular classes are able to continue in our dojo. We have been doing a good job with the provincial regulations so far, so here is just a reminder and update on what you need to know to attend your karate classes.
We appreciate that some of the provincial regulations may not appeal to everyone, however, we need to follow these regulations or risk being shut down. We are so grateful to have been able to open our new Carlyle Martial Arts Centre. We don’t want to take any chances on it being closed.

Here is the Zoom link for the Team training on December 6.

The Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation is inviting members to participate in two (2) upcoming events.
The first one is the first event in the Shintani Virtual Tournament Series. There has already been one virtual tournament that was very successful. There is a series of events planned for this karate season.
The dates have been extended to November 12 to 15, so if you hurry, you can still register and submit a video. Black belts are encouraged to register as judges as well. Sensei Kevin was a judge in the first virtual tournament and he thought it went very well. Very much like being at an actual tournament as far as judging goes. There are links to register as a participant and as judges. The poster is below. All information can also be found on the shintani.ca website HERE
The second event is a virtual Shintani National Team workout that is open to members 14 years of age and up who are blue belt or higher. This will be a Zoom workout and our very own Sensei Marlee will be involved! You may contact her if you have any questions.
Here are the posters for each event. REMEMBER… the virtual tournament is coming up fast!

We are meeting this evening at 5:30 pm to load the collected items onto trailers to bring to Redvers Sarcan tomorrow morning!
If you can come help load up tonight that would be great!
The items are being stored in a shop along highway 9 South about 4 or 5 businesses south of Girard Bulk Petro Canada.
Many hands make light work. We hope to see you tonight. We do not need much extra help tomorrow when we bring them to Sarcan as there isn’t much space there to work.
See you later!
The Shintani Team is having a virtual team training on December 6th, starting at 11 am Eastern Time. Any member of the SWKKF is welcome to join in.
If you have any questions, contact Colin Frans at colinfrans@outlook.com .

It’s fun to be able to post that on a Thursday!
We have added a new automatic hand sanitizer at the dojo entrance. Please use it upon entering the dojo. Thank you.

All karate students, including black belts, who already have a Passbook Number, should set up a Profile on the SWKKF Website as soon as possible.
Please do this by Friday, October 30. We will begin the Registration process for our club this weekend and it is much easier if our previously registered students have set up a profile and listed Moose Mountain Wado Kai Karate as their dojo.
If you are new to our club, and/or do NOT yet have a passbook and number, you are asked to set up your account AFTER we give you your book.
Here is a tutorial from the SWKKF about setting up your profile. It is important that you select Moose Mountain Wado Kai Karate as your dojo. You should also select “Jayson Humphries” as your instructor.

Our Thursday evening classes begin today!
Here’s a quick reminder of the times: Don’t forget your water bottle!
6:30 to 7:30 pm – Age 8 to 12 years (all ranks);
7:45 to 9:00 pm – Ages 13+ through green belt
It’s not too late to register! Registration forms can be completed at the beginning of classes.
