That Was Awesome!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the “parent” night at the dojo on Tuesday! Everyone worked hard and had a great time learning some new things together!

Just a reminder that the tournament is coming up quickly! Please check out the volunteer sheets and sign up to help out wherever you are able. Please remember to bring a small “prize” for our raffle table. The tournament information sheet will be posted below the pictures from Tuesday night!

We will be working hard in class now to prepare for the tournament on November 25 and 26. We will also be preparing for a grading which will be held on December 13, 2022!

See you at the dojo!

A fun warmup!

Bring a Parent Night!

This coming Tuesday is Bring a Parent Night at Moose Mountain Karate!

Come to class with your parents/guardians and let’s teach them a little of what you’ve all been working on! You can help them learn “your” kata, teach them a few techniques, do some kumite with them, and maybe find time to play a little game at the end of class!

We will also have some sign-up sheets that night for everyone to sign up to help at the tournament at the end of the month. We also need a little help with some up-coming fund raising events at the Dickens Festival.

We would also like to remind our members, whether you plan to attend the tournament or not, to bring a small gift/toy to be raffled at the tournament. We’ll go over everything again on Tuesday night!

See you at the dojo!

Tournament coming up fast!

Our home tournament is coming up fast! It is being held on Friday, November 25, and Saturday, November 26, 2022. We have been talking about it in class, and started preparing for it as well. We encourage ALL of our students to participate! There are so many benefits to going to tournaments! Plus it supports our club!

We will also be asking for volunteers for various aspects of the tournament. None of these jobs are difficult, but all of them help out a great deal. We will need volunteers for things like the “scoring tables”, the raffle table, the canteen, etc.

Here is the informational flyer. We will continue to explain things in class. Don’t hesitate to ask us any questions.

See you at the dojo!

Volunteers Needed

We hope everyone is having a terrific summer! It’s not too long until we’ll be back in the dojo!

Our club has been asked to help with the beer garden at Carlyle Fun Dayz this Saturday, August 20, 2022. We are needing some volunteers age 19 or older to help out. We will be working in shifts between noon and 2:00 am.

If you are able to help us out, please contact Sensei Rick, Sensei Jayson, or Sensei Kevin by phone or text message. You can also email us at moosemountainkarate@gmail.com

Members who assist in our fund-raisers, have access to funding from our “travel fund” to participate in other tournaments and events. Come on out and have some fun listening to the live band and hanging out!
