Good news…

The equipment order and the “Small” size gi bags have arrived! We will be handing out items on Tuesday during class. If you have not paid for your items, please be prepared to do so on Tuesday. The “Large” gi bags have also just arrived and we will be sending them to the embroidery house on Wednesday. You’ll learn why we’re waiting when you read the next paragraph.

We have an extra 4 small gi bags for sale. They have been pre-embroidered with our club logo but no name. There is a picture posted below. If you would like to purchase one of these bags, please contact Sensei Kevin ASAP! The cost “as is” without any name is $65. If you would like to add a name, we can send it in when our large bags go in on Wednesday, the cost will be an additional $6 per word. Price does not include tax. You can email Sensei Kevin at the following address if you want to claim a bag now before the rush for them on Tuesday. Consider this a bonus for being a blog follower!! Way to go, everyone! We had another great turnout last night for an excellent workout. For being so early in the season, everyone is moving really well.

On a dojo note… We are up to 94 registered students with more contacting us each week. These are exciting times for us!

We ask for your continued patience as our enrolment increases and we make changes to our administration methods. The new electronic bar-code sign-in method seems to be settling in nicely.

Keep practicing your techniques and kata at home so you stay sharp and are ready to progress while in class by building upon those skills you have practiced.

Remember that tomorrow is Tuesday and is our regular karate night! It can be easy to forget when the students have a day off from school on a Monday!

The SWKKF National Team will be attending the 7th Commonwealth Championship in Montréal, QB on October 10-12, 2013.

The team members will compete in both kata and kumite. The event will be held at the Centre Pierre-Charbonneau in Montréal.

Great work on Tuesday, everyone! It’s so nice to see so many karateka on the floor working hard and sweating hard! And you never know what’s going to happen to make the evening even more exciting! All’s well that ends well!

Keep up the good work everyone and try to practice at home between classes. It only takes a few minutes to work a few techniques and run some “carpet kata” at home.

Just a reminder that our regular workouts resume tonight.

We’ll be trying out our new “Barcode” sign-in method today for the first time! Please be patient with us as we implement these gradual changes in an effort to better organize the operation of our club.

Just for your information… So far we have registered 80 students from age 5 to 45! We are so lucky to have a great group of karateka working together in our part of the province. Keep working hard, everyone!
