There is no need to wait until the tournament day to register!

You can register online through the Shintani Federation web site. Fees are collected at the tournament. The online registration form REQUIRES a passbook number. If you are a new member and don’t yet have a passbook, you can simply enter 1111 and it should accept your registration.

Below is a downloadable registration form from our own web site. The two forms are different, but both are acceptable. Tournament registration forms can be turned in at any time.

Everyone who registers MUST check in when arriving at the tournament. Fees are to be paid at check in. Registration can be done before the Friday night clinic OR before the beginning of the tournament on Saturday.

PARTICIPATION FEES:

Friday night clinic – $25.00 per person

Saturday tournament – $25.00 per person

Both events – $40.00 ($10 savings)

Family rates – Pay for 1st two family members (family rates apply to immediate family members living in the same residence)

The dance on Friday night is a “Closed” event. This means it is open only to members of the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation. There is NO CHARGE for this event.

There is a banquet Saturday evening. We are still waiting on a price. There is no family rate for the banquet.

Remember… karate classes are being held on Thursday night this week!

Classes will be at the same time and in our regular dojo, just on a different night.

Next Tuesday, November 17, classes will be held at the regular times but at the United Church.

We can now add names to any duffle bag/backpack you wish to order.

We have also learned that there are currently NO RED BACKPACKS AVAILABLE. So, if you want to order a backpack, it looks like your only option is black, but that’s cool!!

If you would like to add a first and last name to your order, please add the desired embroidery in clear, easy-to-read printing under the choice of colour. Then ADD $6.00 to the initial cost, ADD 10% tax and fill in your total in the space provided.

If you have already submitted an order form and would like to add embroidery, please bring a cheque or cash to class on Thursday, November 12 to pay the difference in cost (or fill out another order form and we can destroy the previous one and return your initial payment). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Last night we announced that we will be ordering duffle bags and/or backpacks for anyone interested in purchasing one.

Here are some images of what they will look like and links to the forms. 

The duffle bag is available in two sizes. The smaller one is shown in the image. Each bag/backpack will be embroidered with the Shintani Federation fist/dove logo.

Great job to all of our karateka for their hard work last night.

Both the regular class and the Just for Kicks class tried some new things and everyone did a great job!

We will have regular classes next week, but the two weeks after are a little different. Here is the schedule.
