Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in the tournament this weekend!
Whether you were competing or helping out in some other way, everyone who contributed in any way helped to make the tournament a huge success!
We had many comments from our visitors about how great our tournament is, and much of that is due to the help we receive from our volunteers.
Way to go, everyone!
Here is some tournament info:

Excellent job, everyone! Remember, regular class in the regular place tomorrow.
See you at the dojo!
Grab your karate buddies and come to our dance at the high school gym!
It’s on now till 11:00 pm.
The open training session with the National Team is today starting at 9:30 am.
This session is being held in G.F. Kells High School gym, the same location as the clinic and tournament.
The clinic and dance are taking place this evening with the clinic beginning at 6:30 pm for ages 5 to 12 and then continuing from 7:30 to 9:00 pm for ages 13 and up.
The dance begins shortly after 9:00 pm once the DJ is set up and ready to go.
It should be an excellent day!
The workout is open to Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation members age 13 or Green belt and up.
There is no charge to attend the workout. Participants can make a voluntary donation.
The day will begin at 9:30 am with work on kata until lunch at 11:00 am. The workout will resume at 12:30 pm with kumite until 2:30 or 3:00 pm.
Lunch is being provided for the team members and coaches, guests will be provided with a list of local restaurants (Subway, A&W, Dairy Queen for fast food – The Office Bar and Grill as a sit down restaurant if you want to be late for the afternoon session).
There is no pre-registration required. Participants can just show up at the “gym” doors of G.F. Kells High School in time to change and warm up. The training begins promptly at 9:30 am.
This is an excellent opportunity for Shintani members in our area. If you have never trained with the team before, it is an excellent experience!
Classes will be at the regular times in the regular dojo!
Please remember to bring your prize table donations and any last minute duffle bag/backpack order forms!
This is our last chance to go through our tournament process, katas, and kumite practice in the ring.
See you at the dojo!
