Congratulations, Sensei Marlee, on your successful black belt grading on the weekend!

The grading went very well and everyone who participated thanked us for hosting such a successful event.

We would like to thank everyone who helped us out on the weekend.

Thank you to Vicki Flynn who billeted two people from Calgary and also fed all of the Joseki Board members AND all of the black belt candidates!

We would also like to thank Sensei Cara, Sensei Jayson, Sensei Kevin, Laurie Bouchard, and Che Cormier for all of the work they did as well.

A big thank you to Sensei Ron for coming out to work with us last night! We all had a great time, and learned a lot!

All of our karateka are walking around today practicing their “baseball” swings and “pushes”!

Sensei Ron Mattie, 8th degree black belt, and chief instructor for our karate federation, will be working out with us today!

It is always exciting to train with Sensei Ron! He always shows us new techniques, and has a great way of putting a new spin on the ones we think we already know!

Everyone helping out with the bottle drive this weekend is reminded of the following:

Please meet at the dojo at 9:30 am on this Saturday, October 15. 

We will get organized and begin at 10:00 am. Last year, we had the entire town canvassed, bottles cleaned, bagged, and loaded by noon! Many hands make light work!

Just a reminder that there are regular classes tonight!
