The club wind up will be next Tuesday, May 31 at 6:00 pm.
Come to the dojo and enjoy a casual supper with the Senseis and other karateka from the club.
The club will be providing the main course of burgers and smokies thanks to the Coffey family! If you could just bring along a non-alcoholic beverage and a bag of chips or salad to share, that would be great.
DUFFLE BAGS will be here by then and will be available to pick up at the wind up. If you are unable to attend, just contact Sempai Kevin to arrange a way to pick up your bag.
Thanks for another great year in the Carlyle dojo.
What a great last class! Congratulations to everyone who participated in last night’s grading. Everyone looked really good on the floor and the many promotions were evidence of your hard work. Way to go!
WOW! It’s hard to believe the last class of the season is here already.
This Tuesday, May 24, will be the final class of the year AND a KYU BELT GRADING.
The grading will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. The dojo will be open by 5:30 so you can come in and do a good stretch and warm up before it begins. Be sure to drink lots of water and eat well in the days leading up to the grading. Also, remember that your fees, and a $15 grading fee, are due before you can be graded.
Good Luck to everyone.
On Tuesday, May 31, all club members from this year are invited back to the dojo for a wind-up supper at 6:00 p.m. Members attending are asked to bring a small dish i.e. salad, potato chips, and a non-alcoholic beverage of their choice.
See you there.
MAY 17 – This Tuesday, May 17, will be the last class of the year for the “Just for Kicks” group. It’s hard to believe the regular karate season is almost over and summer holidays are just around the corner!
MAY 24 – KYU (colored) BELT GRADING on Tuesday, May 24. The grading will begin at 6:00 p.m. so be sure to arrive early and do some stretching so you are ready to go. Everyone is asked to make sure their club fees are paid, including a $15 grading fee if you plan on being graded. Members with outstanding fees may not be eligible for grading.
MAY 31 – CLUB WIND-UP! 6:00 p.m. For all members of Moose Mountain Wad0-Kai Karate this year from “Just for Kicks” right through to our Senseis.
Everyone who attends is asked to bring a food item like a salad or chips and a non-alcoholic beverage. The club will provide the main course. Come out and enjoy a supper with your fellow karateka.
… But unless your windshield wipers are really bad we’ll still see you at the workout tonight!
… to all of the “Just for Kicks” who participated in the grading yesterday. Everyone looked really good and was working really hard. Way to go!!
The next 2 Tuesdays will be regular workouts. May 24 will be an Adult/Jr Kyu (colored) belt grading. May 31 will be our club wind-up.
Also, because of the terrible weather on Sunday, Sensei Scott from Weyburn has decided to re-schedule his tournament. Once we have his new date we will share it with everyone and it would be great to see lots of support from Carlyle.
The Club Duffle Bags have been sent away for embroidery and should be returned to us within the next couple of weeks.
REMEMBER… there is a “Just For Kicks” Grading on Tuesday!
Work hard and good luck, everyone!
