We will be taking orders at the first work-out on January 11, 2011. Sample shirts for sizing are available.
There are 3 styles: Men’s, Women’s, and Youth.
The men’s and women’s sizes are $25 each and the youth sizes are $20. ALL ORDERS ARE TO BE PRE-PAID. Cheques can be made out to “Moose Mountain Karate Club”.
Kevin Dyck will be available at the dojo during the Just for Kicks session between 6:30 and 7:30 to help with sizing and take orders and then again at 8:30 after the Adult/Jr session.
If you are unable to attend the class on January 11, you may contact Kevin to make other arrangements to order a shirt.
This may be the last chance this season to order this great shirt. Don’t miss out!!
There will be a work out tomorrow evening starting at 7:00 p.m. for anyone interested. The workout will be held at Built For Life gym in Carlyle.
Regular karate classes will begin on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
Have a Happy New Year!!
Congratulations to all of the young karateka who participated in last night’s grading! Many were fortunate to be graded up 1 or 2 stripes and several were even awarded their white/yellow distinction belt. Way to go, everyone!!
We also want to say, “Welcome back,” to Jonathan George who joined us for last night’s optional workout. Jonathan has been a dedicated member of Moose Mountain Karate for years but has started attending university in Regina this fall. It was nice to have you back, Jonathan. We wish you continued success as you work towards your education degree.
Our first workout in the New Year will be TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2011. The adults and jr’s should keep working on their katas/techniques a bit over the Christmas holidays because the grading will be soon to follow.
Merry Christmas, everyone! And best wishes for the New Year.
Just a quick reminder to the Just for Kicks that there is a GRADING tomorrow!
Everyone should be a bit early and be ready to begin by 6:30 p.m.
Following the grading there will be an Optional class for Jr’s and Adults who wish to stay. The grading for this group will be soon after we return from Christmas holidays.
The Events page has been updated with information on the Melitta, MB, tournament coming up at the end of January for those interested.
Happy Holidays to everyone and all the best in the New Year!
JUST FOR KICKS GRADING NEXT TUESDAY, DECEMBER 21
Make sure everyone is there and ready to go for 6:3o. That means that everyone has signed in before 6:30 and is ready to line up.
Be prepared for the grading to run a little over the regular alotted time. The senseis need to view and evaluate everyone in their techniques, kata, and kumite so naturally this can take a while.
The gradings are a very useful tool for everyone. It allows the senseis to see what areas need more attention, the karateka gets feedback on their level of achievement, and, should the karateka be graded up to a new belt rank or receive a stripe, the gradings can be very rewarding.
The grading will be followed by an Optional adult/jr class for those interested in getting one last workout before Christmas.
The Jr/Adult grading will take place shortly after we return from Christmas break.
See you Tuesday and Good Luck in your gradings.
There will be a “Just for Kicks” grading NEXT week, DECEMBER 21. Keep working that power kata!!
There will also be regular class held that night for jr’s and adults. It will be the last class before the New Year.
See you tomorrow.
This Tuesday marks the start of SESSION 2 for our club. It would be great if everyone came with their registration fees ready!
There will be a GRADING for the “Just for Kicks” class before Christmas. The Jr. and Adults will grade in early January.
See you Tuesday!
