The grading is TODAY! Come a little early to warm up and prepare. The grading for each group will begin at the regularly scheduled class time. REMEMBER… students MUST be present in order to be graded.

Tonight is the last night of karate before Christmas break. We hope everyone has a safe and restful holiday, and we look forward to resuming classes on January 9, 2024!

Today is the first class of Session 2. Please be sure to pay your fees as soon as possible in order to be graded.

We have pushed the grading date back one week to December 19, 2023.

Our tournament is coming up fast and we know everyone is eager to help out. We know everyone will do a great job in any area of the tournament for which they volunteer! If you’re not sure where you are going to help, contact Sempai Juanita and she’ll help you find a spot.

Here is the tournament information flyer and the registration form. If you wish to download and complete the registration form prior to the tournament, that is great. Forms and tournament fees will also be taken on Friday evening prior to the clinic, or Saturday prior to the competition.

The Weyburn Wado Kai Karate Club is holding a “practice tournament” this Saturday, November 4 starting at 11:00 am. This tournament is being held in the Town of Ceylon. The tournament is free of charge, but in order to make a donation to the town, there will be a small raffle table for us to purchase tickets.

These types of tournaments are a great opportunity to get used to how things work at a tournament and to learn the proper tournament protocols and procedures. They are also using this event to help instruct people in score and time keeping, and judging.

Please let us know if you are planning to attend by sending an email to moosemountainkarate@gmail.com so we can inform the organizers of approximate numbers.

Our tournament, the Saskatchewan Provincial Wado Kai Karate Tournament, is being held on Friday and Saturday, November 24/25, 2023 at G.F. Kells High School in Carlyle. It would be great if all our members could participate.

Regular classes resume in Carlyle on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the regular times.

Congratulations to everyone who helped out at the Bottle Drive! We had a beautiful day, and everyone worked really hard. Way to go! It will be a few weeks before Sarcan gets back to us with our total, but we’re confident it will be a very good fundraiser! Now back to training!
