Great workout last night everyone!
It was great to have some visiting sempais from the Weyburn club. Just FYI, as a paid member of the Shintani Wado-Kai Karate Federation, we are all welcome to attend workouts at any other Shintani dojo. It is nice just to touch base with the Sensei before doing so if possible.

The “Just for Kicks” class (ages 5, 6, 7) at 6:30 and the Jr’s and Adults from 7:30 till 9:00 p.m. See you there!

Just for Kicks, age 5, 6, and 7, begin at 6:30 p.m. The Jr’s and Adults begin at 7:30 p.m.
Regular classes are held at the dojo, Carlyle Elementary School gym. Please enter by the rear North doors. Karateka, karate students, are reminded to “bow in” at the inside doors as the enter the dojo.

The Shintani Wado-Kai Karate Federation has announced the team selections for the 2012-14 National Team. Congratulations to the members who will be representing our country in international events.
Registration for the 2012-12 karate season will take place on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the dojo (Carlyle Elementary School Gym). Please use the North Gym entrance.
Regular classes will begin the following week on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
We look forward to seeing everyone for another exciting karate season.
There’s only a few weeks to go before the official start of the 2012-13 karate season! Hopefully everyone has been keeping up their techniques and kata! It only takes a few minutes to run all of the kata from slowly, move-by-move to tournament speed. Remember to start by concentrating on position and form and gradually moving up to your full speed with spirit and power.
