Thank you, Sempai Marlee, for sharing some your experiences from your trip to Japan! You and Sensei Quinn are inspirational for all of us in the dojo.

We have always said, “You get out of martial arts what you put into martial arts.” You guys have shown us what the beginning of hard work and dedication looks like. 

Doors are open, and opportunity awaits you! The whole dojo is behind you, supporting you and following in the trail you blaze ahead of us!

We are reminded of the words of Ohtsuka Sensei, “The difference between the possible and the impossible is one’s will.”

We wish you both the very best as you begin your journeys in karate.

Regular classes begin tonight at the dojo! If you are new, and don’t know where that is, it is in the Carlyle Elementary School gym. Please use the rear doors off the parking lot. We ask that you remove your shoes in the entrance before entering the dojo. Thank you.

We would also like to remind you NOT to wear any jewellery, pants should be ankle length or higher (so you don’t slip), and finger/toe nails should be trimmed.

Just for Kicks (age 5, 6, 7) go from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

Age 8 and up (Jr/Adult class) go from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.

Registrations are still accepted if you were unable to make it to the registration night last week.

2016 Black Belt Grading

It has been set up to give information to those attending the black belt grading being held here on October 21 and 22, 2016.

The Friday night clinic is open to karateka who are ranked blue belt or higher. Brown belt karateka are invited to participate in the black belt grading on Saturday to get an idea of what will be required of you at your grading.

We hope to see at the workouts!!

Karate registration is coming up on TUESDAY NIGHT!

Registration is Tuesday, September 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Carlyle Elementary School gym. Please use the rear doors off the parking lot.

The first classes are Tuesday, September 13. Just for Kicks (age 5, 6, and 7) from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Ages 8 and up from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.

In order to make things simpler, it has been decided to adjust our regular fees to include the fees we usually charge for gradings and belts. This way, no additional grading fees will be required. The new registration form can be downloaded from the link below, or from our “Downloads” page.
