Participants/Volunteers needed

The Manitoba Provincial Wado Kai Karate Tournament is being held in Carlyle in just under 2 weeks!

Many karateka from Manitoba participate in our tournament, so it would be really great to have many of our members participate in theirs… especially since it is being held here at our high school. Come out and participate in a Provincial tournament while supporting our Manitoba clubs in the process!

We will also be needing volunteers to help out with a canteen and possibly with the scoring/timing tables. If you are able to help out with either of these, our Manitoba friends would really appreciate it.

There may be a canteen sign up sheet at class on Tuesday.

See you at the dojo!

Tournament in Carlyle

Carlyle will be hosting the Manitoba Provincial Wado Kai Karate Tournament!

The tournament is being held here due to Manitoba’s “prize fight” laws which make it difficult to hold such events in that province.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the G.F. Kells High School gym. Sensei Jeff would also like to lead a clinic/workshop on the Friday evening, April 29 for those interested. We will have a sign-up sheet for the Friday night clinic at Tuesday’s class.

This is a great opportunity for our members to participate in another Provincial competition. Let’s see everyone out there supporting this event!

More information will follow soon.

Jacket Order Form

Below is a link to an online order form for the new Jackets.

You can use this link to order jackets, or pick up a paper order form at the next karate class on Tuesday. Sample jackets will be available next week at class, or you can go to King’s Department Store in Carlyle and ask about trying on a jacket there.

The jackets are wind and water proof and have a very nice lining. They are an excellent jacket.

The Saskatoon/Warman Tournament is taking place this weekend at The Legends Centre in Warman. There is a clinic on Friday night and the tournament on Saturday. It is always and excellent event.

The Manitoba Provincial Tournament is being held on April 30, 2016 in Boissevain.

Classes and Tournaments

Regular classes resume next week, April 5.

The Saskatoon/Warman Tournament takes place next week as well on April 8 and 9 in Warman at the Legends Centre. Information can be found in previous posts and on our “Events” page.

There is a clinic being held on the Friday night featuring Sensei Denis and Sensei Sanford Dewitt from Ontario.

This event is always a lot of fun!

The Manitoba Provincial Tournament takes place on April 30 in Boissevain. More details on this event will be shared as it approaches.

It would be great to have as many of our members as possible attend both of these events.

Please speak to one of our Senseis if you require more information.

See you at the dojo!

CLASSES CANCELLED TONIGHT!

Karate classes have been cancelled tonight due to poor weather and road conditions.

There will be no classes next week because it is Spring Break.

We’ll see you again on April 5!!

Keep working! Remember the Saskatoon/Warman tournament coming up on April 8 and 9.

See you at the dojo!
