Hoodie/T-shirt Order forms

Great class last night everyone! It was nice to everyone working so hard! Remember that Sensei Ron and Sensei Sanford are joining us next week, so please be on time for your class.

The order forms for the Hoodies and t-shirts is below if you wish to download and complete one. They can be returned to the dojo next week, or to either of the schools in Carlyle with payment. Please note, that this is a NEW order form which reflects the small price increase we discussed in class. We apologize for the confusion.

Order forms are due in next week. Let’s gear up and look great at our tournament in November!

Bottle Drive TOMORROW!

Our annual bottle drive is tomorrow!

Please meet at 10:00am at the far west shop along Highway 13; to the west of OK Tire. Map image below.

We will divide into teams to cover the town and then head out. We also need people to help sort and pack the bottles and cans into bags and the trailers.

The funds raised all go into our “Travel Fund” which is used to help cover travel/tournament costs for our members who attend events outside of the Carlyle area.

See you on Saturday!

Karate Classes Tomorrow; Bottle Drive on Saturday!

Anyone who can help is encouraged to come out. See you at the dojo!

Regular Class Tonight!

Now that classes are in full-swing, be sure to check out our Code of Conduct page for guidelines for our karateka (students) and yodansha (black belts).

Also make sure that you are adhering to the karate clothing and hygiene guidelines. Wearing a gi is preferred; it should be white. If you don’t yet have a gi, please make sure that you are wearing sweats that do NOT drag on the floor (you could slip), and an appropriate t-shirt. ALL jewelry should be removed. If it cannot be removed, it should be taped. Finger/toe nails should be trimmed fairly short. No one wants a scar from someone’s toe nail!

Remember that karate class is a time to clear your mind of other distractions. Focus on the techniques you are performing, and always try to make the next repetition better than the previous one.

One of the most important things about karate class… SHOW UP! That doesn’t mean just to be physically in the dojo. It also means show up to work hard, to learn something new, to improve a previously learned skill, to spend time with like-minded people all working hard, and to HAVE FUN!

See you at the dojo!
