CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the grading last night! Everyone did a great job and worked really hard! Way to go!

We have regular classes next week. There will NOT be classes during the school Easter break.

Don’t forget to bring your new sign-in cards. Our new system is up and running!

Grading Tonight

The grading is tonight. It will take place at your regular class time, but may run a little over the scheduled end time in order to do presentations.

Please arrive a few minutes early and do your own warm up so that we can begin the grading promptly. If you have one, PLEASE BRING YOUR KARATE PASSBOOK TO THE GRADING.

Good luck, everyone! Work hard; have fun!

See you at the dojo!

REMINDER…

Just a reminder that we are holding our grading NEXT TUESDAY, April 5, 2022.

The Just for Kicks group will begin at their regular time of 6:00 pm, but should be prepared to stay just a little bit longer if necessary.

The Jr/Adult group will begin as close to 7:00 pm as possible, immediately following the Just for Kicks grading.

Members must be present at the grading and all fees must be paid to be considered for advancement.

Regular classes tonight! See you at the dojo!

Session 3 Begins… Masks Not Required

Session 3 begins this Tuesday. Please bring your fees.

In accordance with the new covid protocols, masks are no longer required at the dojo. However, the dojo remains mask friendly, so anyone wishing to continue wearing a mask is welcome to do so. We also continue to encourage members to remain home if they are feeling unwell.

Planning is underway for a “club tournament” and a grading, so March should be an exciting month!

See you at the dojo!

Session 2 Final Class

Today is the last class in session 2. There is no class next week during the school break.

Session 3 begins on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Please be sure to pay your fees as soon as possible.

We will post information regarding changes to our masking policy soon. Keep checking for the latest information.

New Words of Wisdom

“Every movement in karate is performed with the whole body; never with the four limbs. Thus, punch with the body, kick, defend, stand, pivot, and walk with the whole body. This cannot be expressed on paper with my pen. The only way to gain this skill is through practice.” – Sensei Hironori Otsuka Wado Ryu Karate

Raffle Tickets due this week!

Just a reminder that ALL RAFFLE TICKET BOOKS ARE DUE THIS WEEK! They can be returned tonight at the dojo, or by Friday to Regal Autobody.

It is expected that everyone who took books to sell will sell every ticket. This is crucial to make this a successful fund-raiser.

Classes are still on for tonight for those who wish to brave the weather. Please don’t take any chances… stay safe.

Like the saying goes, “A brave man likes the feeling of rain on his face, but a wise man has the sense to come in out of the rain.”

See you at the dojo!

New Policy

Effective tomorrow, ALL karate students, regardless of age, MUST wear a mask at all times in the dojo… even while working out.

With the uptick in positive cases in our area, we think this is one small measure that is easy to implement.
