Our Annual Tournament is the next big thing on our karate calendar and we need a little help.

This year’s clinic and tournament is being held on November 27 and 28 at G.F. Kells High School.

We need some adult volunteers to help out. The jobs are not difficult but are important to the success of the tournament.

We need one or two adults to oversee each the following areas:

The Canteen (1 or 2 people) – These volunteers would collect and organize food donations from members i.e. Rice Krispie squares, cookies, muffins, etc and would organize preparing and selling hot items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, taco-in-a-bag… etc. They would create a sign-up sheet for SHIFTS of workers to work in the canteen.

The Raffle Table (1 or 2 people) – These volunteers would organize the donated “prizes” and create a sign-up sheet of shifts for more volunteers to help sell tickets to the patrons of the tournament. At a designated time in the afternoon, they would draw the winners of each prize package.

Please speak to Sempai Sheri or one of the senseis to sign up for these positions.

These jobs are not difficult, and every club member should be prepared to help out in some way. We will also need some help at the scorekeeping/timer tables at ringside.

Don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

See you at the dojo!
