Competitive Club

We have started a “Competitive” club.

This club will participate in advanced fitness and karate training and will attend a more diverse set of tournaments. Eventually, there will likely be more active collaboration with the Prairie Karate Association, a provincial organization affiliated with Karate Canada.

The Senseis will be in touch with individuals as the details of this extension of our regular club are worked out.

If you feel that you would be interested in participating in this group, please let a Sensei know and we will add you to our list.

The Competitive Team has been working hard over the past few weeks to prepare for Karate Canada Nationals. They leave on Wednesday, January 27 for Richmond, BC to the Olympic Oval where the National event is being held.

Official weigh-in is on Thursday along with some team meetings and competition begins on Friday, January 29. Most of the even is being Live-Streamed on the internet. If you are interested in watching, just go to the Karate Canada Web Site to find the link. We will be sharing that link on our regular page as well.

Good luck to each of the competitors! We’re all behind you!

Congratulations to Sensei Savanna, Sensei Quinn, Marlee Cormier, Nathen Schmidt, Payton Humphries, and Ethan Anderson on being selected to the Saskatchewan Provincial Karate Team that will be representing our province at the Karate Canada National Championships at the end of January!

They are the first members of our “Competitive” club to attend a National level event. Way to go, guys!
